Online Bidding


  • Online bidding is for bidders who will NOT be at the live auction.
  • The online auction closes at noon the day prior to the auction.
  • The top bid from the online auction is used as the opening bid at the live auction.
  • If you are an online bidder and want to win at the live auction, use the maximum bid feature.
  • The maximum bid feature allows the auctioneer to bid on your behalf at the live auction, starting at the top bid online and continuing until the maximum bid you specify.
  • If you are an online bidder and win at the live auction, we will charge your credit card for your purchase(s).
  • Online bidders are responsible for checking for e-mail and phone notification and pickup of merchandise within the specified removal time.
  • If you are not contacted then you did not win any items at the live auction.
  • The minimum bids online are intended to make online bidding meaningful. Items may start at a lower price at the live auction.
If you wish to bid on multiple lots, please place a bid for each item - be sure to accurately record the lot number and description. In the event of an identical bid on the floor, the bid in attendance shall take precedence. Thank you and good luck!
Question: What do I need to register for the auction??
Answer: Please fill out the form and be certain to leave your daytime phone number and extension so that we can contact you between 9am-6pm

Question: How does the internet bidding work?
Answer: By clicking on the link below "Terms & Conditions" you can bid on auction items online.
The online bidding ends at noon the day prior to the auction.
The top bid from the internet becomes the opening bid at the live auction.

There are two types of bids:
Regular Bid - used one time only
Maximum Bid - A "do not exceed" bid which is automatically advanced on your behalf - LIVE AT THE AUCTION BY THE AUCTIONEER.

When you use the Maximum Bid feature the item will be opened at your regular bid price, then if your price is outbid at the live auction, the auctioneer will bid on your behalf up to your maximum bid price.
Internet bidders will be notified after the auction only if they are the successful bidder.
Internet bidders must pay for their purchases and pick up their merchandise by the close of the removal as outlined in the terms and conditions.
Grasswood Auctions offers this service as a convenience to customers who are unable to attend the sale, and although we make every effort, Grasswood Auctions will not be responsible for any errors or failure to execute the bids.
